Mike was born to a large immigrant family that struggled to survive. Through his family’s experience and his self-education, he learned a strong sense of justice that stuck with him his entire life. In high school, he organized student walkouts to protest unsafe conditions. He represented the Socialist Workers Party internationally, unionized meatpacking and garment factories across the country, and helped mobilize for the immigrant rights marches of 2005-2006. Today, he is a biomedical engineer, creating lifesaving medical technology. He is running for Congress to fight for families like his that need affordable housing, a Green New Deal, Amnesty for undocumented workers and Medicare For All.
