Jason is a lifelong community activist and organizer and a former high school math teacher of almost two decades. His first involvement in activism was protesting the Iraq War in 1990 when he was a student at the University of Washington. He has continued his antiwar activism for 30 years. As a healthcare advocate, he currently serves on the board of Whole Washington, a volunteer led group seeking to bring single payer healthcare to Washington State. As a teacher, Jason represented his local union at the state assembly for many years.
